Topic: DataFlows – A Practical Guide For Business Users
Speaker: Roland Szirmai
Exploring DataFlows for business users could be challenging as many of them fear that it is a super technical area that requires a steep learning curve. However, as DataFlows utilise the power of Power Query anyone who has created a report in Power BI before could make the switch relatively quickly and easily. In this tutorial, I would like to present how easy it is to move a local, Excel file-based report to DataFlow. Making this change not only going to enhance data accessibility and reusability within the organisation, but it will also provide better collaboration between the report creator(s) and report consumers. Additionally, it provides a chance for the Analytics team to hand over reports to the business to manage once all data transformation logic was built into the DataFlow.
