Maps can really to take your Power BI reports to the next level – but they can be tricky to configure! In this session Alice will explore two of the core mapping visuals in Power BI: ArcGIS map and Azure Map, and show you how to get started, how to make the most of each mapping option and explore some of the advanced features. Learn how to create maps with interactive legends to toggle layers on and off, connect to your organisations spatial datasets and live web mapping services in Power BI, as well as the limitations and gotchas of the different maps which Alice has learnt along the way!!

Alice Drummond is Co-Founder of DiscoverEI, and a Microsoft Data Platform MVP, and her passion is using Power BI to bring environmental data to life! Drawing on her background in environmental engineering, Alice works collaboratively with government organisations to turn mountains of data into practical, useful, decision-guiding insights, and gets a real buzz from training the next generation of data champions. Alice is a regular speaker at Power Platform community events and conferences and co-hosts the Power BI for Enviro’s monthly meetup.
