In this meetup, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Chris Webb from the Microsoft CAT team. Chris talked on the topic of Performance Tuning Power Query and Dataflows in Power BI

Whether you are transforming data in the Power Query Editor in Power BI Desktop or using Power BI Dataflows it's important that your Power Query queries run as quickly as possible. In this session you'll learn how to diagnose Power Query performance problems using features like SQL Profiler, Query Diagnostics and Query Plans, and then fix them by optimising your code, ensuring query folding takes place, increasing the resources available to the Power Query engine and using the Enhanced Compute Engine in Dataflows.
